Home on leave, moving out of London to their new home ...

My Dear Mother
Yrs of Thursday & enclosures …
I go to London Tuesday for the day. We all move up tomorrow week. I’ll probably go to Club for a night & move into flat on Tuesday week. A is getting few of her things to the flat also, things we had at Curzon St …
There is a pair of heavy boots of mine I want sent over a little later. Lotta will know where they are & might give them to ?????? to clean a bit. I want them out there this winter. Old boots are of so much better stuff than anything one can buy now & also cost of boots at present is prohibitive. I’ll ask you to send them end of week to the flat & I’ll send you address in due course. I hope to find room to leave some of my things at flat instead of club.
Influenza seems very bad & not enough Drs. to cope with it …
I hear Karl of Austria has packed his bag & moved off. He has not had much of a time since he came to the throne; I suppose he’ll be the last of them.
Best love
Yr. Affect son
Arthur.
